Join Us For Worship

Our Sunday worship follows the "Liturgical Year" – seasons of the church year when we celebrate significant events in the Church’s theological history.  Each year, Christians move through a circle of memory and expectation to open ourselves to the elusive presence of God.  In weekly worship, we attend to this movement each week. Christmas, Easter, Pentecost: People can walk right through these mysteries each year, and not even know what’s there.  We need time to get ready to come close to those mysteries: Advent, as we approach Christmas; and Lent, as we approach Easter.We use color and the stories of scripture to approach and enter into the seasons of the Church year.The stories of scripture we use are called Lectionary, a three-year cycle of readings from the Hebrew Scriptures, the Psalms, the Epistles, and the Gospels. Holy Communion

We celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) on the first and third Sundays of the month by "intinction" – when you are served, take a portion of bread from the common loaf and then dip it into the chalice. The large loaf is wheat bread and the crackers are gluten-free. We serve both wine and grape juice – wine is in the earthenware chalice, grape juice is in the glass chalice.

Worship "Bags"

Worship "Bags" are available at the church entrance for all children who wish to stay with their families in the worship service.
